A new magnetic coil system consisting of two helical arrays of triple magnetic coils has been recently installed inside the TJ-II vacuum vessel. It covers densely sector D of the device. This proposal requests machine time with NBI plasmas in order to detect NBI-driven Alfvén modes, measure phase differences and figure out the corresponding toroidal mode numbers.
