The FusionWiki is:

  • A thematic wiki for Fusion-related information. The objective is to compile specialist information that does not easily fit in the generalist framework of the Wikipedia.

The FusionWiki is not:

  • A competitor of the Wikipedia. Do not include generalist information (for the general public) here, but in the Wikipedia. Do not copy articles from the Wikipedia here. Do include links to Wikipedia articles.
  • A private wiki. Anyone is invited to participate. As with all wiki's, there is some oversight to avoid spamming and the inclusion of patent nonsense.

Target audience

Any information related to Fusion activities and research can be included here, for reference by:

  • Specialists in the Fusion field
  • Colleagues working in other but related fields
  • The general public and the press (clearly not a prime target of this Wiki)

Intended contents

Due to the enormous proliferation of activities in the fusion field, it has been considered useful to develop a general repository of information about, e.g.:

  • Basic concepts and definitions of Fusion terms and abbreviations
  • Fusion laboratories and research facilities
  • Fusion organisations, structures, entities, commissions, departments, projects
  • Fusion meetings and conferences
  • Fusion policy
  • Fusion lines of research
  • References to the main publications in the fusion field
  • Fusion-related software (simulation codes, analysis codes)
  • Fusion-related educational material, images, movies

These items should have an entry with a brief description and references to external websites or literature. This should allow specialists and students to obtain a quick overview of the main issues and primary publications on any topic.

Refer to the help section for information on adding content.
