The scope of the European Physical Society (EPS) Conference on Plasma Physics encompasses the fields of fusion research, laser-plasma interaction and inertial confinement fusion, as well as dusty and low temperature plasmas.
Initially, the conference was denominated "European Conference on Controlled Fusion and Plasma Physics". Later, it was called the "European Physical Society Conference on Controlled Fusion and Plasma Physics". From 2004 onwards, this was changed to the "European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics".
