TJ-II disposes of two gyrotrons for Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH). [1] The power is delivered to the sector B3. The gyrotron frequency is f = 53.2 GHz, tuned to the 2nd harmonic, X-mode polarisation. The total power that can be delivered to the plasma is PECRH ≤ 600 kW. The gyrotrons can be modulated.
