The first experiments aimed at obtaining the 2D distribution of plasma potential were performed in TJ-II using Heavy Ion Beam Probe (HIBP) with the variation of two parameters: plasma entrance angle and the energy of the Cs+ probing beam in the range 128-148 keV <ref>R. Sharma et al., Physics of Plasmas 27, 062502 (2020)</ref>.

During 2019-20 the dual HIBP system has been used to experimentally characterize the 2D structures of plasma potential and density mean-value distributions and fluctuations in TJ-II mapped by varying the beam energy in a wider range 100 -150 keV.

The goal of this proposal is to expand the HIBP energy range [80 - 200 keV] to explore the whole TJ-II poloidal cross-section.
