-ECRH plasmas are best for this, albeit it might be possible to perform these measurements also in NBI plasmas (the TESPEL penetration depth is large in NBI plasmas so the TESPEL may exit the plasma without exposing the tracers). Standard magnetic configuration with ECRH off-axis to avoid density cut-off.
+NBI heated plasmas are best for this as the plasma is not affected by a density cut-off limit, as can occur for injections into ECRH plasmas. The standard magnetic configuration with one or both NBI heaters working will be employed. In order to avoid frequent entries into the TJ-II experimental hall (to change the TESPEL revolver position) this experiment should be run in conjunction with cryogenic pellet or LBO experiments. Thus it may take several days to complete the studies.
