Proposal title

Influence of edge radial electric fields on particle and heat in the SOL

Name and affiliation of proponent

Igor Nedzelskiy et al.,

Details of contact person at LNF

Carlos Hidalgo

Description of the activity

Turbulence radial spreading controlled by sheared ExB flows has been experimentally identified in TJ-II [1], including motivation/objectives and experience of the proponent . The gradual narrowing of the heat flux profile observed from L to I and to H-modes in AUG would be consistent with TJ-II picture [2].

The goal of this proposal is to investigate the influence of edge ExB sheraed flows on SOL particle & heat transport .
